Riders Up, written by Louis F. Hildebrandt, is a historical non-fiction autobiography about one mans life as a jockey on the horseracing circuit, years 1936-1947.
He details his years working with the Sanford Stud Farms, Amsterdam, New York working for Hall of Fame Trainer Hollie Hughes; riding during World War II at Fort Robinson, Nebraska; his love of the Sport of Kings and his special relationship with two horses, Vintage Port and Round View.
